We bought 4 of these and we put together two of them and they were both defective. Stripped screws on both and they were pre-installed wood screws. We sent all 4 back which is too bad because they were beautiful.

I purchased four stools from Amazon and they were all delivered in a timely manner. The back has a slightly oriental look and the seats are very comfortable. They all feel sturdy and look very attractive.

Delivery was within 3 days. The stools were remarkably easy to assemble ( I did it all by myself!)The price for them was like a gift as the quality of the wood, the seat cushion, the sturdiness of thestool was far more superior than many others I had seen. They even have the gliders on them.My grandson tipped over sitting in one of the metal style stool ( fortunately no boo-boos) whichcost as much as this solid wood one!

I bought this stool because of inability to stand for long periods of time. I use this stool in the kitchen while preparing meals and other kitchen duties. It takes a little getting used to with the back rest. At 29 inches you have to pull your self up and hang onto the back . For what I needed this stool fits the bill. If you have shorter legs you might think about getting a stool with a larger seat and not as high.It arrived on schedule and was very well packed. When assembling be sure to follow direction and put on seat back before attaching it to swivel base or you will. as I did and have to disassemble that portion and redo it.Overall a very nice stool.

Don't ever buy this chair if you want to sit on it.

Poor construction!!!Wooden ring on the bottom that secures the legs in place is easily broken - wood grain cracks from the pressure of holding the legs in place.Seat bottom breaks away from swivel mechanism easily.Back rails are paper thin and pop out of their slot on a regular basis.Looks great but cannot be used because the engineering is all bad!!! The wood is not sturdy enough to stand up to normal use.The design is flawed in every way.

These turned out great as a match for my kitchen. Only problem during construction is the instructions have incorrect numbers for parts on a few of the initial drawings- part numbers for screws and washers are labelled wrong on the drawings, and it took awhile to figure out the correct parts they were indicating, a screw and washer, not 2 screws! However, once assembled, they look great and feel sturdy.
