looks great but,,poor swivel unit

I was looking for a stool the would be used for daily meals,,so it had to be a sturdy unit.The design and appearance caught my eye and met my criteria,,but the construction was not what I thought it would be. The wood used is quality and the finish is too but the hardware such as the swivel unit is not. The stool rocks as it swivels,, even though it is not supposed to. The swivel unit is flimsey and should be upgraded. The appearance is quality but the swivel is flimsey.

I love these barstools. The only thing I can say about them that may be negative, is that the instructions are backwards. Start at the end on the last step and move backwards. The instructions are incorrect. The first one I put together took a couple hours. When I put it together on the second try, I used my noggin and noticed that the instruction steps are all wrong?????? I put the next one together in about 45 minutes. Go to last step first on this one. But they are durable, and lovely. Worth the trouble.

I rate these chairs a solid 4 stars for two reasons. One, my husband and I ordered one chair because that's all the company had in stock, however the company was receiving additional orders. Upon the arrival of our first chair, we fell in love and couldn't wait to complete our project. The wood was rich and deep chocolate, it had zero flaws, and it was easy to install. A few days later, we placed our second order (2) and I was slightly disappointed on our new shipment. The wood is not as rich and deep as the first one we received- its more on the red oak color. During the day, our home receives a heap load of light and that's when you notice the difference.Secondly, The legs are off balanced and wobble a smidjit, not entirely bad tho. Beside those two issues the chairs are amazing.
