The seat is composite and chipped

The chair itself is of beautiful design and seems to be relatively sturdy. I noticed, however, after putting the chair together that the wood on the seat had lifted off. Turns out, the seat is made of relatively cheap composite material and covered with a thin veneer, and not a solid wood. Therefore, I now have to figure out how to sand down the corner or glue the piece back on. Just a warning if you are expecting a completely solid wood product.The chair seems comfortable to sit and and the colors match the description.

Perfect with the table I bought (Boraam 70005 Square Tile Top Table, 30-Inch, Black/Cherry)! Seriously was REALLY nervous buying this. I have a very small area in a kitchen that I returned one table and bought a different table to go with these chairs! ADORABLE...PERFECT... STURDY!

Easy Assembly

Just what we were looking for. I needed to replace 2 chairs from out kitchen set that over the years our boys have destroyed. The first chair took my almost 30 minutes to assemble (there was some paint in one of the holes for the screw which made it take longer to get in tight) over all assembly was very simple though.They came packaged well and are plenty sturdy. The honey oak color is slightly darker than other honey oaks I've seen but it still looks nice.I would recommend these chairs.
