Problem #1- The item arrived damaged with chips and gouges on the face of the table; at least part of this was caused by how it was packaged (not enough protective wrapping). Luckily, the chairs were fine. I requested a replacement of the table only and got a notice that my request was received and the order was mailed out.... This leads me to Problem #2: The entire order was re-sent, including all the chairs. This inattention to detail resulted in me dragging heavy, extra boxes up the stairs and into my apartment. That was pretty frustrating and presented me with a whole new set of problems which are detailed in Problem #3: There was only one shipping label sent to Fed Ex for the return. There *must* be one label for each and every box and here I was with two extras. Of course I didn't realize this until Fed Ex came for pick up, which led me to Problem #4... It took a couple more days of my time to straighten this out because I had to go back and forth between Fed Ex and Boraam about the shipping labels. Once that was done I had to make sure I was home all day for the pick up of the damaged table-- both my ill-fated first pick up where I learned I was two labels short AND the second, final one. This was so frusterating but my only alternative was to take my boxes to a Fed Ex store. Since my car was not big enough to transport them and I was too small to haul the table downstairs and to the car, it wasn't much of an alternative at all. So Problem #5 (my last, I promise) was that my replacement table was damaged when it arrived too..... I will say it again-- both the original and the replacement table were damaged when I opened the box. After what I went through with the first return I cut my losses, requested a partial refund and repaired the damage myself. I chalk this fiasco up as a learning experience and pass it on to you. Ordering furniture online, at least from the Boraam company, is a bad bet. Don't do it.

Chairs arrived fine.Table arrived damaged first time and second time. The second time was not as bad, just some heavy corner scratches and we were tired of repackaging it a second time to send it back, so Amazon worked out a damage discount, which I fully appreciate. The table is pretty heave (70lbs-ish)As far as the quality, it is solid. The wood diagonals where you thread the screws/bolts through to hold the legs would crack a little, but they held. There is a significant gap between the legs and the table where the bolts tie everything to (not visible from the outside of course), so I don't know if it was build like that intentionally. I'm not a furniture engineer by any means.Overall we are happy with the set, just wish they packed the table a bit better.
