Great Table, Beautiful and a Value

I was worried about ordering a table online without actually seeing it in a store first but this table is everything I hoped it would be. We were looking for the perfect gathering table that could also double as a dining table since our place is limited in size and this fit the bill perfectly. It seats eight comfortably and is great for company. The assembly wasn't difficult but does take a little time, especially since you have to build all the chairs too. The Lazy Susan is very modern and looks gorgeous. The storage in the bottom is great for wine and stemware. It is a heavy table and solidly built. Make sure you have a few people to help you carry it inside. I would highly recommend this table to anyone. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of all the assembly required.

*Configuration*If seating 8 people is an important criterion for you, then this table is not going to do it. I was concerned about the size and seating from the pictures before we bought this set, but now its confirmed. There's no place on the square table to accommodate 2 people to each side without elbows knocking and plates, glasses set so close to each other, you could eat off the other's plate. On corner seats, its not possible to sit without one person's knees poking another's thigh. The most you can realistically seat is 6 people if you do 2 chairs on two of the sides and 1 chair each on the remaining two sides. With that configuration, you can move the single chairs to the middle and spread out the 2 chair side a little bit so that elbows and knees are not bumping into each other. But that makes the whole setting looks somehow asymmetric not to mention the single plate in the center is really close to the lazy susan in the center.The center lazy susan is a tempered glass round flush with the surface of the table but positioned on bearings such that it can rotate. Its virtually useless because you cannot set the plate correctly enough so that when it rotates it does not get jammed in the wood circumference (there's a 2 millimeter gap between the wood and glass plate). A slight push and the glass plate closes this gap on one side and cannot rotate. You would have to press hard on the glass to make it rotate and it makes a noise as the plate rubs along the wood.The square shape makes it good to put some food in the middle of the table, but creates unusable space in the corners which is wasted. Using this set with just 4 chairs might be ok, but then why would you spend all this money to leave 4 of the 8 chairs supplied out?Read more ›

I purchased this table set in May and wanted to really try it out before I offered up my opinion on it. I was a bit dubious that eight individuals could sit around this table comfortably and not be knocking elbows with those seated around them. It turned out there was plenty of room for everyone.All in all, this is a fabulous set. It has a wonderful look to it (it also comes in a walnut finish), and is very sturdy. I like the height of the set as well. The seats, (especially for not having padded backs to them), are surprisingly comfortable, and the storage cabinet underneath the table is an added plus. The cabinet opens on two opposite sides, and has grooves to store wine bottles on their side and stemware can hang from beneath the "roof" of the cabinet. The base of my stemware seemed a bit too wide to slide into the wooden slots located underneath the top of the cabinet, but no biggie, I just stored my crystal elsewhere.There is space between the bottom of the table and the top of the cabinet to use for knick knacks or whatever you'd like to place there.The instructions were fairly easy to follow (a good thing for those of us diagramily challenged), and took my daughter and I about two hours to put it all together. Everyone who sees it compliments the set. I like the lazy susan in the middle of the table, although mine doesn't turn quite so smoothly or easily. I may have to have the glass ground down around the edges just ever so slightly. The sale price (under $800.00) is an exceptional deal as well. With a new house to furnish and decorate, believe me, I've been looking around and comparing prices.~ jade ~

I ordered this table from Moshya Home Furnishings on this website...It was an amazing purchase and an amazing dining set. Moshya delivered my set sooner than I expected. It was simple to put together, It took about 2.5 hours to put it together. My husband and I along with two of our children put it together. Since I have children, I covered each seat with plastic that I purchased from the Hobby Lobby store. This set is quality, quality, quality! It's made with real wood not that plywood junk most new items are made of. This is a great buy especially form Moshya Home Furnishings. No...I do not work for Moshya I'm just a customer that had a great buying experience with them. Go ahead and buy this set it...You will love it like we do.

This was, by far, THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A COMPANY. In an attempt to make a long story short... The item arrived DAMAGED 17 days (09/30/2013) after the order date. The tabletop was cracked halfway across and completely up to the top on one of the support beams. I informed the seller (the next day), and sent the pictures of the damage that evening (as requested by the seller). After some back and forth about it not being documented on the "delivery paper," I was informed, on 10/05/2013, by the seller (Dillon signed the email) that a new table top would be sent . (By the way, UPS will allow you to leave a note with your signaure to allow the table to be left in your driveway). I requested that a tracking number be sent on 10/08/2013. I was told that I would receive one when it was received from the manufacturer and then shipped by this company (Moshya). I never received this information, and thus requested another update on 10/14/2013 regarding the table top that I was told would be sent. On both 10/17/2013 (by Dillon) and 10/21/2013 (and then by Victor), I was asked if I could be called regarding an update. I requested that it be in writing both times, as I knew that they were putting me off (read previous reviews). I was contacted via email, on 10/22/2013, and was told that a new table top was NOT being sent. It has been over three weeks since I made the initial contact about the damaged item, and 18 days since I was told a new table top was being sent to resolve this issue. After almost 3 weeks, I contacted Amazon through their "A to Z Guarantee." What a joke. I am now being told that I can send the item back for a refund. Seriously?? I am not disassembling 8 chairs and a table base to send back to then have to pay at least half of what I paid for the table!Read more ›
