I wanted to try these counter-height bar stools but was really nervous due to the negative reviews. I ordered only one at first in case they were indeed crap. Today I am ordering the 2nd one I need. They are fine! No problems so far.. assembled easily, comfortable, sturdy, look great. If I have any problems with it after they are used for a while, I will amend my review, but for now..very satisfied. Satisfied enough to order more.

They look really nice assembled in our kitchen. They seem very sturdy (time will tell) and all legs are level with the floor, i.e., no rocking. One complaint is that the precision of the manufacturing is not as good as it could be. some of the parts had to be slightly forced to fit. But, in the end they did. The instructions are also very minimal. More assembly pictures would have been nice. One suggestion when assembling is to NOT tighten any of the leg screws (there are 16) until all of the screws are in and the chair is loosely assembled.Overall, for the price, these are great counter height stools.

These stools seem solid enough and look nice. I bought three of them. They seem sturdy but have not been used much. One of the stools came with four missing metric hex screws so I could not install the seat. The other screws were included. The instructions that came with the stool said to call Boraam directly if there were assembly problems or missing parts. Boraam's phone system was down for a few days, they did not work Thanksgiving week, and when they came back the customer service people were unavailable and I had to leave voicemail. After waiting for days for Boraams customer service to call back, I called again and pushed zero and talked to a live person who finally did help me. I did not like having to wait a couple of weeks to order the missing screws. I would have bought them locally if they were a "regular design". Fortunately the screws arrived from Illinois after four days.Update 7/28/2013:The stools are holding up well. They are used at my kitchen bar. I am still satisfied with them.

I purchased two of these Boraam Magellan 29' Swivel Bar Stools to go with a half pub table in my game room. The assemble was easy enough, be sure to not tighten all of the bolts until you have all of the bolts slightly screwed in. The leather "like" is a medium/high grade vinyl, which isn't a problem because we are recovering them to match our window treatment. Over all it's an excellent price and the quality is very nice. I would recommend to anyone who on the fence about purchasing. Go ahead you will not be disappointed.

I love it after I figured out how to assemble it. The instructions could be a bit more clear. After I put it together it is a perfect behind my Thomasville Hemmingway collection Kenayan BAR.

Each bar stool took about 45 minutes to assemble. They are comfortable and sturdy. We had guests over the holidays who mentioned how much they liked the stools. We put felt pads on the bottom of the legs since they will primarily be on wood floors, and these worked great.

We have received many compliments on the stools that we purchased. Very solid construction and the appearance has exceeded our expectations. The color matches our island counter perfectly.I have read that some people had trouble assembling these items? Why? It's not a 747! Just follow the instructions.Buy them, you'll love them!

Awesome looking stools, very comfy, and pretty easy to put together (I would suggest an electric drill with the right allen bit).Very solid, should last forever.
